Village Values & Principles

Our Core Beliefs

1. Labor Has Inherent Dignity

Every hour of honest work—whether chopping wood or welding steel—is valuable. We don't rank people by job titles. We rank contributions.

2. Abundance Over Scarcity

We reject the false scarcity of the modern economy. There is enough food, shelter, and opportunity for everyone—if we build it together.

3. Privacy is a Human Right

What you do in your personal time is none of the system's business. We track contributions, not people. Location sharing is opt-in. Real names are never required.

4. Trust First, Verify When Needed

We assume good faith. Most people want to do right. We don't surveil. We spot-check. We trust humans and use technology as a tool, not a master.

5. Everyone is Equal and Worthy

No one is above the Constitution. Stewards serve, they don't rule. New members get the same respect as founders. Every vote counts the same.

6. Failure is Learning

R&D that doesn't work is still work. Failed experiments teach us. We pay for effort honestly given, not just results.

7. Death with Dignity

When a member passes, we honor their contributions. Their legacy lives in the ledger. Their body is treated with respect.

8. Open Source Everything

Our tools, our plans, our knowledge—all open. If it helps the world build abundance, set it free.

The Village Creed

> I will contribute what I can. > I will take only what I need. > I will leave more than I found. > I will trust my neighbor. > I will speak truth. > I will build with my hands and my heart.

What We're Building

A post-scarcity village where:

  • Housing is earned through labor, not debt.
  • Food is grown, not bought.
  • Skills are shared, not hoarded.
  • Value flows from contribution, not capital.

We are not utopians. We know hard work is required. But we believe the work should free us, not enslave us.
