Basics

  • This is a company which does work in rural africa (Originally Rwanda, now also in Ghana) essentially providing medical logistics such as delivery of blood or medicine where it was near impossible before
  • Utilizes probably one of the best civilian Fixed Wing Drone designs which:
    • Is modular allowing saving of time on assembly, maitnence, and with the gps being in the brains/battery unit the gps sync is already done as it is left plugged in and powered on beforehand (in the medical field this can be lifesaving time)
    • Has redundancy for most, if not all parts (two propulsion motors, only uses one, etc)
    • Has an emergency parachute for landing safely during errors if even the redundancy fails
    • Launches via aircraft catapult, lands via arresting wire, so doesn't require skilled take off, or landing
    • The drone has a real world range of 160 km (99 mi) round trip and carries up to 1.75 kilograms of cargo
