Dually

  • Axle must be special elongated, to accept 2 wheels back to back
  • $3500 [1]

Tandem Axle Suspension

  • Check.pngNot leaf spring but rubber. 10k lb [4]. These go up to only 14k.

Axle or Kit

HintLightbulb.png Hint: 3 axle x 7k is most cost effective, but this runs into the issue of difficult turning - rubber rips on short radius

  • 21k triple axis with wheels and brakes $3600 [5]
    • Note that 7k axles are $700, while 16k axles are $3700 - why the huge jump?
  • Double axle kit is disproportionately expensive compared to triple. 20k lb double axle kit - $8.4k [6]
  • 7k - $700 [7]. Check.png 7k with wheels $1100, includes electric brakes. [8]
    • Note that the 3500 lb version of this is disproportionately expensive at 80% the price at 1/2 the spec, at $850 [9]
    • $500 for 3.5k with wheels ,no brakes [10]
    • Note that 10k axles are likewise disproportionately expensive in kit form, but just axle is close to 7k [11]
  • 15k - electric - $3200 [12].
  • 15k - $2500 [13]
  • 28k lb axle kit - dual tandem - [14]
  • Base cost of $750 for 7k axle - no wheels or mount kit
  • $3k for 14k trailer axle set. Electric brakes. [15]
  • $1354 for 7k with brakes [16]

15k Axles

Kit - Wheels, Springs, Etc

  • 35⁰0 lb cheapo axle $360 -[18]

Trucks

  • Even an F150 can pull 14000 lb [19] on a ball, not even gooseneck.
  • No special license if truck is under 26k lb [20]
