Eventbrite charges 2.5% (or 2% for nonprofits) + 3% credit card fees. For a $10k event, that would be $250+ just for the Eventbrite fees. Cafe Espresso [https://eventespresso.com/pricing/?ee_ver=ee4] is a minimum of $70.
If we talk about scaling, it makes sense to develop an open source version. This also makes sense from the transparency perspective, so your event software does not snoop.

Registration for an extreme manufacturing workshop involves paying for a specific event. Registration software such as Eventbrite can be used, but it would also be useful to use an open source alternative.

Eventbrite charges 2.5% (or 2% for nonprofits) + 3% credit card fees. For a $10k event, that would be $250+ just for the Eventbrite fees. Cafe Espresso [1] is a minimum of $70.

If we talk about scaling, it makes sense to develop an open source version. This also makes sense from the transparency perspective, so your event software does not snoop.
