We are now hiring people for part time work running 3D printer build workshops - using our open source 3D printer design. We are then moving on to workshops for building other tools of the Open Source Microfactory - see the [[Open Source Microfactory Boot Camp]].

If you are interested in working with us, we can train you to run workshops. We teach you the technology - up to designing different versions of our modular, scalable 3D printer. We also teach you how to teach. We encourage others to replicate our Extreme Manufacturing Workshops model independently - or to study and work directly with us - so we can accelerate your learning curve. To this end, we have created immersion training to reduce your learning time from months - to days. The typical on-boarding via the OSE fast track involves:
*'''Immersion Training''' - the 1 week [[Open Source Microfactory Boot Camp]] is the quickest way to get up to speed on the 3D printer - by building it and participating in a public group build - all in a one week immersion. This immersion also covers the other small CNC tools of the open source desktop microfactory, and gets you ready for large scale collaborative, open source development of common consumer goods to transition the field of economics to open source collaboration.
*'''Apprenticeship'''  - after taking our immersion boot camp, you can continue training with us for several more workshops - as an assistant to the workshop teacher. Once you are up to speed and feel comfortable running workshops - you will lead a workshop under our guidance. You will use your 3D printer to produce parts for the workshop, and the parts must meet specifications for a successful build.
*'''Certification''' - after running a workshop under our guidance - you can apply for certification - which involves a written and practical test to verify that you understand the technology - and can use it effectively in Extreme Manufacturing Workshops. This involves the ability to print parts and source materials for a workshop

After you are certified, we can hire you to run workshops near your location. Your responsibilities in this include printing parts, inventorying materials.
