This is the log of an evolving strategic development plan for GVCS 50/2/2 - the goal of completing the GVCS in 2 years within a $2M budget. First, look at the GVCS 50 - the 50 tools of the Global Village Construction Set (GVCS). *See GVCS Tools Status for development status by prototype (1-3) and by 31 steps for completing each prototype.

  • There are 6 major project groups:
    • Open Source Microfactory - all of the fabrication tools
    • Open Source Tractor Infrastructure - mechanical infrastructure and implements
    • Steam Engine Infrastructure - Steam Engine, Steam Generator, Gasifier Burner, Pelletizer
    • Solar Concentrator - an advanced system integrating tracking, precision fabrication, and steam engine components
    • Extraction of Aluminum from Clay
