Basics

• A Build that isn't OTS/Non-Open Source, nor is Fully Open Source/an OSE Design
• Used for devices with complex componets that are not yet developed, but from which are useful, and may be cheaper without the other componets being premade etc
• Such as using an OTS inkjet for an Powder Bed and Inkjet Head 3D Printing setup
• Not relevant if referring to small componets
• May be the same device in the workflow, or be followed by a Technology Demonstrator
