Basics
- Shorthand for reinforcing bar
- Beams added to concrete to add tensile strength
- Typically steel, although new material options are being explored
New Material Options
- Epoxy Spray Coated Coated Steel was tried, but supposedly lead to small scratches/defects leading to concentrated corrosion, and then breaks in that point
- Not to be confused with a proper liquid epoxy coat, which may be more stable, also combination with other methods
- Galvanization
- Stainless Steel (not likely due to cost)
