Basics
- A List of everything that is needed for a high quality live stream, such as one for full on Remote Steam Camps on par with the hands on versions
Hardware
Webcam Station
- Used for discussion/instruction portions of the camp
- A 1080p webcam, and perhaps some lighting etc
- Perhaps Redundant Internet Connection and an Uninterruptable Power Supply for all relevant electronics, if possible to prevent interruptions in the stream
- Perhaps an external mic of some sort for clear, understandable audio
Top Down Camera
- Used for top down views of assemblies, demonstrations, and paper diagrams etc
- Open Source Overhead Camera Rig
- Can use a webcam, or dedicated tethered camera
- Goes on top of a desk, perhaps with a part assembly tray/measurement mat (need proper word), anti-static electronics assembly mat, paper, pen tablet etc
Camera
- Either a smartphone, or a dedicated camera with tethering to a pc
- Used for shots of moving around the shop etc
- Somthing hardened like a Gopro perhaps? (can these be tethered?)
- Peraps an external mic (small gopro one) too for better audio, and thus more clarity etc
Software
- OBS
- Screencap software (may be redundant with OBS?)
- Krita, Inkscape, LibreOffice for demonstrating concepts on screen
