Bio-Tar

Basics

• Tar as a (by)product of Biomass or Charcoal Combustion / Gassification / Pyrolysis
• Essentially a heavy distillate of Pyrolysis Oil
• Can lead to clogging of equipment
• Can be used for fuel, waterproofing, medicine (supposedly?), and be upgraded to other hydrocarbons
• Also can refer to the traditional "Pine Tar" product
