Basics

  • A Vehicle powered by a Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine
  • Often abbreviated as HICEVs
  • Could potentially be a "drop in" solution to the issue of fossil fuel vehicles, along with Biofuels and other forms of Power-to-Fuels
  • Unless used in an "Oxy-Fuel" type setup; They are not emmission free (at least without post-treatment)
    • Due to the heat of combustion (depends on hydrogen to oxygen ration) NOx Emissions will be produced
