Basics

  • A Design Principle for Buildings, where not only is the house insulated, but it is Superinsulated
  • IE outside of intentional Heat Pumps etc it is somewhat "sealed" to heat fluctuations
  • Can drastically reduce the cost of running an HVAC system, although some complexity is added
  • Also necesitates somewhat complex building materials, that are effective, safe, and also hopefully eco-friendly:
    • Mainly the Insulation materials used, and the double+ layer float glass windows
    • HVAC system with heat exchangers, and other more efficient systems may be more complex, as they are not as "fully developed" (that's where OSE comes in obviously)
