Open Source Human Puppeteer Kit

Basics

• A semi-unethical (ie sketchy but fun if used consentually like spicy food vs pepper spray etc)
• Also may be good to teach little kids etc neurology/bci's via making it into m a g i c or m a d - s c i e n c e instead of textbook work (ie use it in OSE School
• Dumb (yet fun and somewhat educational) Idea by User: Eric
• Essentially a Project That Burns Dev Time and Funds to Make PR + Advertising (ie will not be done untill we are in excess of that)
• Would be fun for Makerfairs (ie do a "tele/virtual "arm wrestle" make someone dance etc WITH CONSENTING SUBJECTS on a stage like a "magic show's "assistants" + cardio screen questions/disclaimer)
• Could be a collaboration with:
  • OpenBCI
  • and
  • Backyard Brains

Conceptual Dev

• A box that connects to an official (ie certified etc) tens unit to replace the buttons
• It DOES NOT change the shock levels/pulse duration etc, only programs it automatically and triggers remotely
  • Ie makes a 100USD TENS unit "smart"
• This is done via a raspberry pi
• Standard Skin Electrodes are used and placed wherever is safe and needed for demo (+ cardiac disclaimer etc, no causin heart attacks for lulz)
• Then the users can "pupeteer" another human to a low degree
• Black Mirror esque, but a fun and popular tech demo
• Also may make tens use more developed and accesable (but DO need to keep risk eval involved etc)

Michael Reeves's Work

• TW: They are NSFW and irreverant at times
• ANYWHO they are like if you gave the class clown expensive tech kit fyi
• They made this to force people to "dab" to parody/lightly mock a youtuber hated ( Jack Paul almost objectively hated lol so fair game for 98 percent of people)
• It worked, but people could semi-cheat it (ie not do so) with warning and/or willpower (ie flex agains the signal)

Non OS Work

• BCI controlled insects/mice (WAY sketchier and invasive, yet also more capable)

  • Most likely plastic + conductive gell + metal snap + wire ones, but others CAN be used (like TeslaSuit for instance) if complexity is desired
    • Pro tip: gel is hard to get off, use alchohol wipes for easy removal post ekg, eeg, this fun stuff etc

  • (Smart) phones as shown in Michael's build (use the same app as a "core" of this? (ie remove memes + optimize/debug)
