Doors are expensive. A simple way to build them would be to get foam insulation, and cover it in 20 gauge steel.
- Foam is $2/3 /sf [1]
- 20 ga sheet [2] is about $108 [wiki.opensourceecology.org/wiki/Seed_Home_Interest_Form] for 36"x168" of steel. 24 ga is $74.
- 3D print a nice cover face for the door.
- Fire proof is 16 ga [3]
