Talk:Intentional Communities

I had a link to a humorous, but helpful link somewhere, it was something along the lines of "How to not have your intentional community become a cult", and went over all the interpersonal stuff, as well as governance etc

Makes me sad that various groups have given these a bad rap, since they can be really neat.

The issue of "creating new sustainable rural/suburban areas / revitalizing old ones" makes these complicated, is there some way to kind of do this in reverse (ie community + infrastructure->planning, not planning->community->infrastructure)

I need to post it somewhere more relevant, but while visiting my relatives in the "Rust Belt", as well as doing a 2 day road trip on the huge highway system had me doing lots of churning/dwelling on all that.
