Talk:Bearing Selection

I heard about " Foil Bearings " recently. Also can be called "Gas Foil Bearings" suppposedly. Anyone know much about these? I've only looked into them a little bit, heard about them in various turbine related stuff. Seem to be used for all that high RPM stuff along with Air Bearings and Magnetic Bearings (although what non- Flywheel Energy Storage usage is there for magnetic bearings?)
