Basics
- This page goes over the basic procedures involved, and areas of concern in the Maintenance of 3D Printers
FDM Based Printers
- Checking for Dust in Fans, on Components / the Print Bed
- Checking Wires and the Cable Chain for any Damage
- Checking all the Fasteners for proper tightness
- Checking Belt Tension (if using a Motion System with Belts such as the Universal Axis )
- Checking the Bearings / Bushings and either Regreasing/Lubricating Them and/or Replacing Them
