Basics

A Panel/Board Typically used for Wall Coverings in a manner similar to Gypsum Board (Drywall, Sheetrock, etc)
Unlike Drywall however, it is inherently moisture and mold/mildew resistant
"Hardie Panel" and "PermaBASE" are brands that are Genericized Trademarks to an extent

Fire Rating (If i remember correctly from a commercial site, 2x drywall sheets (maybe with the right backing paper) stacked makes a 1hr Firewall; how does Cement Board Compare?)
How well it takes Nails / Drywall Anchors etc?
