Basics

• Often Abbreviated as DFAM
• The practice of optimizing a design to work well with Additive Manufacturing ( 3D Printing )
• Reducing Overhangs is one of the main principles
• How to print a large object in sections and optimizing for that can be another aspect

By Process

FDM

• Mainly Reducing Overhangs

LVP

• Designing in Drain Holes for Uncured Resin (if not using 100% Infill ) is needed

EBM

• Heat Sinks must be attached to the part (Akin to Sprues in Injection Molding]] or Investment Casting etc)
