Basics


Calcium hydroxide + 512C -> Calcium oxide (lime) + water

Calcium oxide + Carbon + 2000C -> Calcium carbide + Carbon Monoxide

Calcium carbide + water (room temp) -> Acetylene + calcium hydroxide.
