OSE's education program in civilization design equips the students with the skill set to design and build homes - but also much more. Why is this called Civilization Design? Because if we gets the homes correct - as integrated, productive living spaces - then we can reinvent how civilization works. If homes produce food, energy, products - then they function like farms, factories in a new paradigm of production. Thus, they create culture - because a different type of productive culture is the result. In clusters, homes produce communities. As collections of communities, they create civilization.
In Civilization Design - , students learn applied physics. In learning physics, students learn how to count - ie, Numeracy and engineering
This is coupled with LtL - how to learn and think; mental models of civilization; LtH - moral philosophy, purpose, and doing good work;
The self-paced program of study results in individuals learning how the world works, physically and in terms of human constructs (ideas and models of reality). Graduates come out with the ability to build homes, communities, and enterprises at the scale of individual units to full settlements of thousands of people.
In the 4 year program (college level program), the final project involves building a housing development in 5 days with 1000 people. This assumes 10x growth from Year of Proof (proving out the FBA 24 apprentice model), ie, a campus population of 240. See Definition of 24 Success
In the subsequent 4 year program (graduate level studies) - the final project involves the construction of a new campus in 5 days, staring from a square mile of raw land, with 10000 people.
