Introduction
Gimp and RecordMyDesktop appear to be a good solution for making tablet instructionals.
- Create a new document in Gimp, 1000x600 in size seems to work well.
- Make background black, and drawing in white - like on a blackboard
- Select Paintbrush tool, opacity 100, Brush: Circle Fuzzy (17), Scale: 1.11
- Open up RecordMyDesktop.
- Use 50% video and sound quality. Select window. Record.
- Remarkably small size of output video - at 50% quality, a 2 minute video is 2MB
Nice Features
- One can show videos and capture them right fom the screen as well. Sound, tablet, video, wiki - all capturable.
