Basics
- Part of the Open Source Digital Fabrication Construction Set
- A D3D Printer modified to print ceramic parts
- Does so by using a special syringe and tube insead of the usual extruder and nozzle (also needs a screw-pipe based extruder, and perhaps a seccindary pump of sorts near the resevoir, if using a remote system)
Used For
- Art
- Ultra High Temperature Parts
- Metal Casting Molds
- Plastic Injection Molding Molds
Industry Standards
- Wasp Version (note they may be a good source for the extruder as well) (On Nozzle Screw Extruder + Plunger)
- DeltaBot (Plunger Based exccept for largest which is plunger with an optional add on of a continious flow system)
Existing Open Source Designs
- This? (Plunger Based Design)
Minimum Viable Product
- Modular
- Precise
- Not limited to a small syringe or resevoir of clay (IE Able to do Large Prints)
