The relationship is regenerative, healing land and people.

A one week immersion, hands-on course where you learn about OSE's collaborative, open source development and extreme manufacturing process, with the open source desktop microfactory as the focus. You will be exposed to the full toolchain of crowd design from idea to build, where both the hardware and software are open source. We will do rapid prototyping using: FreeCAD and part libraries, 3D scanning, 3D printing, CNC circuit milling, laser cutting, and making 3D printing filament from scrap plastic - where all of the associate tools are completely open source. We will teach you how to operate a closed loop materials cycle as we recycle scrap plastic into virgin 3D printing filament. You will learn how to design a 3D printer according to our 3D Printer Design Guide and Construction Set approach using our Universal Axis motion system. We will also cover how the same Universal Axis system can be used to build the CNC Circuit Mill and small laser cutter as derivative machines. We will also cover how you can set up an online, on-demand 3D printing store using a Raspberry Pi-based server for your home microfactory. We will show you how you can get involved with OSE's open source product development effort for household consumer goods that can potentially put an open source dent in the existing $20T household consumer goods market. Finally, you will build your own 3D printer in one day to take home with you. The goal is to equip you with all the skills and open source equipment that enables you to design and build larger and smaller versions of the 3D printer and derivative machines, so you can bring open source production and culture back to your neighborhood. OSE Unique Value Proposition

  • Collaborative Design for a transparent and inclusive economy of abundance - 2019
  • Historic transfer of wealth from the few to the many - 2019
  • Regenerative solutions at scale - 2020

Introduction

Collaborative design means that we create the new world together. This means that OSE's work, with ample Proofs of Concept achieved, is in a good position to create OSE Campuses worldwide. At the point of creating the Seed Home 2 Extreme Enterprise, we are around the corner to releasing a very importan product of high interest - a home. This lends itself to widespread collaboration and significant interest, as the housing part provides a solid revenue model. This model can be used to fund additional entrepreneurs, who can be absorbed into the OSE program as OSE Fellows who start new OSE Campuses. One model can be that of a microfactory within a city, and a larger Campus within an hour of any metropolis. The metropolis then supports and seeds its satellite, which influences the metropolis by providing production based on natural resources (food, fuel, fiber, minerals), recreation, and natural preservation. The relationship is regenerative, healing land and people.

The current idea is summarized from the Seed Home 2 Business Plan, and is based on Enterprise Scaling for Solving Pressing World Issues:

Summary

Collaborative design for regenerative solutions at scale is a big opportunity:

  • Open Source Ecology Enterprise - needs branding such as Open Source Pioneers
  • Gather 144 recruits, out of high school. Best candidate from each urban area.
  • Gather funding
