Notes from Prusa Research
- Organization in stackable bins - Complet part kits are organized in vertically stackable bins - 3:27 in video - [1]
- Jigs - Custom 3D printed jig for threading the aluminum extrusion - [2]
- Open Source - now Prusa is hiding parameters and brands and extrusion of their filament line - interesting blank out of production knowledge. Minute 4:50 in video.
- Print Profile Generation - they have a room dedicated to print profile optimization.
- Customer Support - 40 agents. So 8000/40=200. 1 support person per 200 printers. For a 160 hour month - that is about 50 minutes per customer if the month is 20 days. They have 24/7 support.
- 7 people work on the slicer
