Basics

  • An abbreviation for Global Positioning System
  • Was originally less accurate civilians due to a system of Selective Availability, but this system was later stopped via software on midnight on May 1, 2000, and Block-III satellites will be physically incapable of it, so this will remove it in hardware over time
