Basics
- Often abbreviated as MTO
- Olefins can also be called Alkenes (double check this, may be similar to rubber vs elastomer where there is a slight difference) and thus can be abbreviated as MTA
- A Process by where Methanol is converted to olefins
- One of the ways to make petroleum products from biological source materials
- Can be an integrated step in a Gas to Liquids process as well, but it can work from methanol on it's own as well
