Basics
- Tar as a (by)product of Biomass or Charcoal Combustion / Gassification / Pyrolysis
- Essentially a heavy distillate of Pyrolysis Oil
- Can lead to clogging of equipment
- Can be used for fuel, waterproofing, medicine (supposedly?), and be upgraded to other hydrocarbons
- Also can refer to the traditional "Pine Tar" product
