Basics

Process

Farming

Harvesting

  • Supposedly developing specialized equipment

Processing

  • The roots are washed (Probably some process commonality with Potato Processing and other tubers etc
  • They are then put into a Ball Mill with water
  • The Latex coagulates and is skimmed off the top
  • The Wastewater from this process is rich in Inulin and thus is a good candidate for Bioethanol or other Fermentation derived Biorefinery products

Status

  • Tons/Year
  • Share of their overall latex use
  • Related EU Projects/Goals etc
