Who is a target audience
 
We already have the candidate criteria that's the five or six points of the five-legged dog
 
Getting specific we are now finding out that it's easier to train builders to be idealists than to train idealists to be builders
 
If that is the case then that's a major shift of our publicity
 
We know that young people 18 through 22 are the primary audience because they have the highest chance of still having a growth and a genius mindset of divergent thinking. The younger the better because of societal conditioning and hypernormalization or normalopathy
 
Let's try 18 through 22-year-old change agents. That may be wrong audience because change agents is already the idealist requirement.
 
Do people who end up being world changers identify as such before they are world changers?
 
Can we actually search for humility in the sense of being called out by the times or is that word misunderstood?
 
We can also go to communities which combine young people and awareness such as the metacrisis or liminal web community.
 
These communities appear to be for the older people say 40 through 60
 
There are other idealist communities such as psychedelics or spiritual nonreligious, but once again this falls into the idealist category
 
If we get practical then we would recruit farmers and builders and stay away from IT and idealism as much as possible.
 
Target: builder channels such as Dan Gelbart and craftspeople.  Makers ,but that is hobbyist, and that is not a good fit for world changing.
 
If I look back in OSC history it has typically been only the builders types who have actually made tangible design contributions. The dumber the better. The super smart guys were typically high on their own supply, without sufficient humility.
 
So far I am not impressed. That's why we are starting a school.

This: hard worker, farmer, builder, nice guy, grit, 18-22 so they are willing to recover their genius. The 18-22 is proxy for open to learning. We work on taking openness to learning to its useful end of becoming a global steward. 'worldchanger' seems to be empty as a word.

Personal note video - why am I doing this in this approach. Because I am a learning machine. - DAB.I will probably learn in this process more then any of you. The best way to learn is to teach. And thus I appreciate the importance of rapid learning, and am committed to providing the most effective rapid learning environment. Welcome alpha, the experimental area where you can do and build anything that you dream up. But there I'd a catch. Before you build, you must get the buy-in of your cohort. This teaches you to collaborate, to have a purpose, because others should not accept if you want to do stupid shit. But if you have good ideas and design - and can document and communicate it - we also do not allow the cohort to limit your agency. So the social contract for alpha is subtle. It includes the idea that you must be qualified. Just like you don't want a a garbage worker to operate on your brain - unless that garbage worker also has an adnanced medical degree. This means that what you propose must be largely in your skill set, as verified by our credentialing system, we are all creating a best practice index, testing quality and speed in the RLF.

We started OSE in 2004 with a notion that a collaborayive, open source civilization would be more efficient and humane at the same time. I borrow those words from Peter Drucker.
 
The status of open hardware in 2025 is a failed promise. Meanwhile, open source software has reaches limited success. The opportunity to create mutually assured abundance remains to be tapped. It can be more powerful than thensexond cominhbof Christ.
 
We are making major strides forwatd on this. Welcome to OSE 3.0, a major milestone.
 
OSE 1.0 was the stage of hippies in the woods, as we created Factor e Farm and arrived with a tractor that soon broke, a veggie oil powered Suburban, a trailer, 100 chickens, 4 goats. And some power tools.
 
After the tractor broke, I decided to build my own. This ended up propelling us to the world stage in 2011. You can see my GVCS TED talk for a summary of that story. Thus started OSE 2.0.
 
April 12, 2025, marks OSE 3.0. This is the stage where we aim to create abundance at scale, having uncovered a bootstrapping revenue model that can pave the way. Otherwise, the revolution would not be funded.
 
April 12/specifically marks the product release of the Seed Eco-Home in the form of enterprise model validation by posting a for sale sign on the US real estate marketplace. It looks like a normal home. It is far from it. For one, we believe we have a case of documentation son exhaustive, sobcomplwte - that this could evolve to a product of global scale. We are not aware of any house product out there with documentation as complete as ours. (Need to go through this - where is everything).
 
We are now starting an apprenticeship to spread this far and wide. Our next step is to validate that we can teach our work readily to students, so that we create people who do good work for a living - at scale.. The concept is 24-person cohorts, who at the minimum learn basic proficiency in the 20 trades it takes to build our modular Seed Eco-Home - as a highly coordinated crew in only 5 days from scratch to up the rooftop photovoltaic.
 
That us just the build part. In the apprenticeship, students spend two days per week in work-study -/building seed eco-himes as our cross-subsidiAtion model. This means homes that we sell on the open market. On the third day, we learn about civilization design -  the architectures of products, organizations, and institutions. Think of itbas a survey of civilization design across all areas and sectors. On the fourth day, we learn how to learn. This is something i wish I learned in school, and have since observed a huge gap in what traditional education offers on this point. Last but notvleast, we learn how to be human. This is all the stuff that you learn about very little in school, and that the workplace beats out of you completely within a few years. Thus includes applied humaanities such as leadership, psychology, myltuple intelligences startingbwitj moral intelligence, peak performance, growth mindset, negotiation, public speaking, finishing school, mental models, leadership etc. - all foundations for cultivating an abundance mindset.
 
The core design of the program is empowerment - to build things, to negotiate reality with accurateental modelss, and to expand one's understanding of possibility - all to cultivate an abundamce mindlset necessary to propel civilization paat its current, troubling trend. The answer lies in cultivating human spirit more than cultivating technology - but technology is important because arguably for.the first time in human history there is a real prospect of universal prosperity. Simply because humans have the technology now to live in universal prosperity, with nobody left behind. This is just first principles and technolog. Its up to us to grow up and tap this., if only we choose to do so. I must emphasize that we are not fans of collapsitarianism - in the big picture - on first principles the earth receives way more energy from the sun than the blip of scarce fossil fuels provides (link - one week). Energy from.oil is scarce, so we talk of abundance by tapping virtually unlimited solar for the next million years.
 
Apprentices will contribute dirwctlybto the development of the GVCS - as housing includes machines, energy, materials, andanufacturing - and thus one of the 50 GVCS machines, the house, really includes a total of all the other machines in some form or another. Because we build houses, machines that build houses/machines that produce materials, and manufacture our own tools. Apprentices will collaborate on all these ropiva in one way or another.
 
Our nextvstep on this is growing the apprenticeship so we complete the GVCs byb2028. This is the promise we putbdorth in 2018, and the clock is ticking.
