These are the roles required for every module in a project. One person may take on more than one role. One person may take on more than one module, up to a complete build. Scrum Master/Project Manager ensures execution of all duties.

  1. Information Architect - produces conceptional function diagrams, Systems Engineering Breakdown Diagram, promotional graphics, information architecture posters/printouts
  2. Designer - produces technical design, scaling calculations, design-for-modularity, design-for-disassembly, design-for-manufacturing. May be a crowd-sourced effort such as GrabCAD.
  3. CAD draftsperson - produces CAD.
  4. CAD draftsperson 2 - produces fabrication drawings
  5. Fabricator/Prototyper - does the build
  6. Video Support - takes video of build
  7. Video Editor - produces instructional videos
  8. Technical Review Team - reviews technical design on pure technical merit
  9. Strategic Review Team - reviews product for budget and strategic deployment issues
  10. Extreme Manufacturing Review - reviews leanness (simplicity, parts choice, design-for-fabrication) and modularity of design to optimize performance to cost ratio
  11. Product Testing - field testing of product or components
  12. Product Testing Review - development suggestions based on product testing results.
