Here is a possible site at Factor e Farm as a possible building location for Inga's House. The potential location is marked as the white square, and it may be the location of the Solar Village . The location is selected for several reasons:
- The soil at this location is suitable (see blog post for description of sample #2) as is, without having to amend it -The
- The location is close to utilities
- The slope of the site is suitable for drainage
- A drainage channel is on the East side, allowing for water catchment for ponds if needed
http://blog.opensourceecology.org/?p=708
- Because of the slope of the land, the houses should face southeast, for good solar capture.
- Problems of summer heating need to be addressed.
- The immediate surrounding of the houses could be intensive gardens
