Basics
- An abbreviation for Global Positioning System
- Was origionally less accurate civilians due to a system of Selective Availability, but this system was later stopped via software on midnight on May 1, 2000, and Block-III satellites will be physically incapable of it, so this will remove it in hardware over time
- A USA Owned and Run Navigational Satellite Constellation
- The first system of it's kind from SECOR which was a survey system adapted into a crude SATNAV system to Block-1 of GPS
- Worldwide Coverage (Albeit with lesser coverage in certain areas, and this becomes less of a problem with each new launch)
- Is also augmented for use in certain regions using GSNS Augmentation methods
