Did you ever want to design or build something, but did not know where to start?

We've created an immersion program to address just this. If you want to be closer to buildig the world around you - then we invite you to join.

It's a deep immersion - 4 days of collaborative design and build training - followed by 5 days where we all work on a real product.

Our January event is held in 3 physical locations at the same time: Belgium, Virginia, and Texas.

We all collaborate via the internet - as the goal of the Camp is collaborative design - using 100% open source toolchains.

On the first day, we build a simple 3D printer - D3D Simple - that we use during the rest of the Camp for rapid prototyping. We will build a simple CNC mill on the second day, which we will use in building an Arduino microcontroller from scratch. We will build battery packs, and a simple welder that can weld 1/4" steel. You take the 3D printer home with you.

While these are all small prototyping and education machines - they are fully scalable to larger and more powerful versions. You will be able to print parts for our professional grade printer or CNC torch table, and you'll learn how to control the larger machines by upgrading the simple controller to an industrial grade version. The idea is that we teach you the theory and practice - and it's up to you what you'll do with this skill set.

In the last 5 days we build a raspberry pi toruch-screen tablet. We have the option to use the long-life battery packs, 3D printing, simple circuit making, and using other off-the shelf parts - to make a functional video documentation suite. We can design and build other parts - tripods, lights, cordless mikes, wireless keyboards, interchangeable lens, camera sliders - or even cell phone module with a SIM card - all from scratch via rapid prototyping and easy-to-source off-the-shelf parts.

So join us, and start your journey on collaborative design for a transparent and inclusive economy of abundance.
