Modern steam engines are defined as:
- Uniflow engine
- Utilizing modern materials, to reduce or eliminate lubrication requirements
- Bump valve for simplest design
- Stationary engine (optimal single speed) for driving hydraulics; just throttle control
- scalable in units of 5-10 hp
- Work with Gasifier Burner and Steam Generator
