There is a phase of penetrations marking in the Seed Eco-Home Build. By principles of Contract-First Design, Design for Fiducials, Interface Design, and Poka Yoke, we enforce a cohesive phase where penetrations are marked as a bulk process.
There is at least one phase where penetrations are marked in outside walls. The bulk of them are marked and installed prior to the installation of interior modules, at which point various penetration locations are less accessible. If penetrations have fittings, such as the main stack vent - it is easier to install the fitting without interior walls in the way.
