*Main considerations would be what method (Batch or Continuous, How is it heated (“ [[Direct Fired]] gas,  [[Resistive Heating Elements]] ,  [[Microwaves]] (like how [[Nature Jab]] has done so far), and so on)
*Also while a more “feedstock agnostic” design would be nice, if the plan (at least for FeF) is to buy Bales of Sorted/Clean Plastic (or just compressed [[Pallet Wrap]] like they did at Walmart when i worked there etc), designing exclusively around that/looking for literature or Off The Shelf solutions for that may help narrow the scope a bit
**THEN you have Tons per Hour, Moisture Content of the fuel, and all that
*I’ll need to watch that recent video as it really is right up my alley, but yeah i think (if it wasn’t done already!) getting those specifications together will help
*Given anything below maybe makerspace scale is probably below [[Pilot Plant]] scale, yet ABOVE Laboratory Scale, finding anything off the shelf may be a bit rough
*There may be [[Shipping Container]] / [[Skid Mounted]] stuff available
**Worrying about Intercompatibility of Units / All the AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT / safety + environmental stuff too is a whole other aspect of it as well.
***MIGHT run into zoning issues depending on scale, but if you are going above and beyond in all your controls and really have stuff together + do outreach/being up front about it all people SHOULD be fine
****Ie not “We’re burning plastic next door to you, not telling you, and venting anything to atmosphere+have mo firefighting plan/basic safety measures together” vs “This system is even clean by TIGHTER THAN usa emission standards, has redundant safety+containment features, and here is a binder of our procedure+test log etc”
