Basics
- A way of "plumbing" light
- Can be either a reflective tube, or fiber optic based
- Can incoperate lenses and switches as well
- Essentially is a Skylight / Window that can be moved anywhere
- Complex, but allows for Daylighting and thus less waste on artificial lighting
- Should investigate the efficiency + effectivness of clear plastic fiber optics vs reflective tubes ( Toslink uses this, albeit with low range)
- Also used for distributing high output light sources across a wide area in a lower brightness output (This was used in some Sulfur Lamp designs, but doesn't make too much sense with leds outside of niche uses)
