Revisiting this page, and another thing coming to mind is Cooling.  A la those LEDs burning out when if cooled right like the [[DIY-son Lamp]] etc and/or undervolted, they can last a DAMN long time (like that incandescent light in the fire station still going)
If [[Hybrid Solar Panels]] are used/some other method of [[Water Cooling]] etc or some novel heat exchanger, they may be fine, but otherwise that is a bit of s concern i’m having.
GRANTED i am not an expert in the field, so if any PV experts/installers love more i’d love to hear what all they know/if they did something like this yet!

Latest revision as of 12:13, 10 October 2025

Would testing of Weatherproof / Hurricane Resistance / Tornado Resistance certifications be needed? Also to an extent Code Compliance and all that?

I in no way want this to come across as dismissive; the concept of Structural Skin and the related concept recently for that applied to batteries in BEVs is proven and can make sense, especially in the concept of bolted together panels with gaskets and whatnot. I am mainly wondering what all goes into getting those certifications, and if we have it documented on-wiki.
