The sketchup [[http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=8cae6402c445ce63b38804396e417a9b]] show a generator attached to a crankshaft driven by two cylinders in this view, but it's easy to see how this could be scaled up to 3, 4, etc. cylinders.

James Wise contributes this view of what a multiple cylinder steam engine might look like:

The sketchup [[1]] show a generator attached to a crankshaft driven by two cylinders in this view, but it's easy to see how this could be scaled up to 3, 4, etc. cylinders.
