- This page goes over the refining of Pyrolysis Oil
- Given it has many issues with large scale + conventional refining, this will be mainly expiremental / stability+utility improvements for small scale use (recovery from distributed "on-site" biochar production etc)
Hydrotreating
- Need to find out:
- If this can be done at SOC or slightly above ambient pressure/temp etc (ie a hotplate, or a pressure cooker type pressure etc)
- If it can be done without, or with non-precious metal catalysts (as well as catalyst recovery)
