Because of the COVID situation, the Summer X program is postponed until a cure or vaccine is found for the virus. We will, however, plan on hosting remote events - including a Summer X remote session in August. This will be different than the current advertised curriculum, which we are reworking to fit more to a remote event. We needed to make substantial changes given that the onsite swarm builds are not happening. The focus of the August session will be the large-scale collaborative design principles - and builds including 3D printer, CNC torch table for making larger machines, larger scale 3D printing for making construction materials - and plastic recycling to make 3D printing filament - such that the larger prints are affordable. We plan on publishing the event announcement for the remote session by July 1 - including all details on the available kits. Would you still be interested in a remote session in August? Which parts of the summer camp were you most interested in learning?
