Watching the first one right now. I think it may be a somewhat sketchy group

Also getting to the medical part. Mentioned homeopathic/naturopathic and i'm getting some red flags

It is valid in it's points on rich people influencing things, but i think it may be using this to push that as "medicine is evil", not just "they saw it as another growing thing to monopolize and profit from"

The bit on education is questionable, at least in my experience, due to us learning about the "Robber Barons", and all the harm they did, as well as the harm of aspects of the green revolution / climate change / extractivism etc

The bit on the Green Revolution (or Green Revolution (Agriculture) ) is somewhat valid in that it caused some harm, mainly the need for those consumables i guess

(however on the note of petrochemical fertilizers, mined guano, and other additives did predate them in usage, so not entirely something they alone invented/promoted)

Fear mongering on GMOs. (patenting is horrible, but UN support etc is due to Salinity Tolerant Crops / drought resistance etc, especially given climate change's projected impacts in there areas

Pt 2

"The oligarchs never cared about oil, they cared about control" i think profit is more accurate, occam's razor and whatnot

The oil companies being behind decarbonization?

Malthusian Theory is proven very false, and the whole one child policy / sterilization programs were horrible (learned about that in AP Human Geography ) (and the eugenics/social Darwinism of the 1900s )

Education, Sex Education, and Birth Control Methods, all common are the proven method to overcome overpopulation

The bits on the USA's eugenics in the 1900's and it's influence on Nazi Germany is valid as well.

Casting doubt on climate change being caused by human activity?

(in progress, just getting this long rant "saved" so i don't accidentally delete it )

just equated fighting climate change -> population reduction (*definetly not by* my aforementioned "Education, Sex Education, and Birth Control Methods, all common are the proven method to overcome overpopulation" ) and showed something by tucker fucking carlson on faux news oof)

The point on the rich / people with vested intrest in not changing trying to make CLimate change an individual problem to be fixed by lifestyle choices vs systemic changes is valid)

The issue with peak oil is moreso we keep on finding the need to make development of "Unconventional Oils" viable, rather that **stop using oil**

for example "tar sands" / "well stimulation" etc

Humans went from natural oil seeps, to diggin insanely deep wells, using complex process to extract a thick fluid, transporting it via continent wide pipelines to complex refineries

To anyone in the early days of oil that makes sense as a peak (and to any sensible non oil baron!)

the bit on data on goods/energy flow being a conspiracy is just how modern supply chains work! (also *carbon taxes* so spooky i can't run a coal plant in my backyard and get taxed for my gigaton CO2e / fiscal year !)
