In the OSE context, the addition of metal to plastic 3D printed parts. Such as screws and bolts, steel rods for 3D printed tracks, plastic vices with metal jaws, etc.

In the OSE context- a 3D printed ball bearing holder with metal balls can be considered a metal-plastic composite structure.
