It turned out in 2022 that more money does indeed buy happiness - unless you are in the cohort of least happy people, in which happiness caps out at $100k. Satisfaction in reases with money for all groups, though.

Interestingly, the most happy peoples' happiness increases nonlinearly with more money. This is the latest study.
