First, look at the GVCS 50 - the 50 tools of the Global Village Construction Set (GVCS).

This is the log of an evolving strategic development plan for GVCS 50/2/2 - the goal of completing the GVCS in 2 years within a $2M budget.


Proposed Timeline

  • Kickstarter campaign for the Open Source Microfactory- April 14
    • Expected deliverables: $100k of funding by June 1
  • Full Product Releases: Tractor, Pulverizer, and second prototype of Torch Table, by June 1, see Product Ecologies
  • See GVCS Tools Status
  • True Fans and other donations are at $3k/month

Requirements

  • There are 6 major project groups:
    • Open Source Microfactory - all of the fabrication tools
    • Open Source Tractor Infrastructure - mechanical infrastructure and implements
    • Steam Engine Infrastructure - Steam Engine, Steam Generator, Gasifier Burner, Pelletizer
    • Solar Concentrator - an advanced system integrating tracking, precision fabrication, and steam engine components
    • Extraction of Aluminum from Clay
