Environmental Persistent Pharmaceutical Pollutants

• Can be problematic with some Composting Toilet Systems

Elements

• Heavy Metals
• Lead
• Mercury
• Ozone (if ground level, and in significant amounts)
• Radioactive Elements -and compounds
• Zinc

Indirect

• On their own, they do not cause issues, but they can effect other systems:
• CFCs banned in most use cases, react with the ozone layer making ozone generation slower, leading to ozone depletion
• CO2 directly inert, leads to Clcimate Change in large volumes, over long periods of time
  • Same thing with other Greenhouse Gasses

• Some ores/ Tailings can be concentrated with reactive elements/compounds
• Equipment Exposed to Ionizing Radiation may become low level radioactive waste

• Pharmecuticals used for Radiothearapy

• Cyclonic Seperation coarse to fine (need specifics)
• Electrostatic Precipitation
• Filters
• Wet Scrubbers this also typically treats gaseous chemicals
• Nearly all can be captured this way then processed and disposed of/stored/used

Gaseous/Volitile Liquid Pollutants

• Catalytic Conversion
• Wet Scrubbing
• Membrane Diffusion Seperation
• Pressure Swing Adsorbtion

Liquid Streams

• Anerobic Digestion
• Evaporation Ponds
• Incineration (to a certain degree, kind of just moves problems around, but may convert them into easily managable gasses/solids)
• Precipitation/Settling
