Jump to: navigation, search

Basics

  • A form of pollution caused by artificial light being used at night
  • Mainly caused via outdoor lighting
  • Main effect is making stars less and less visible
  • May be some psycological and ecological effects
  • On one side you have the middle of the ocean, or the many locations used for Astronomical observatories such as mountains and undeveloped areas, and on the other side you have stadium lights and Moonlight Towers
  • Not too much of a concern, but should still be taken into account when designing buildings and cities
