How it's made - by adding magnesium, nodules of carbon form, leading to not fractures, but malleability -

Very castable - such as for vises. Melting point of only 1150 to 1200C. Doable in electric kiln.

It's also high carbon steel - but round graphite nodules make it more malleable.
