• It is miscible with water
• It is a VERY important solvent

PVC Solvent DIY

• Acetone dissolves oil-based pigment inks [1] and alcohol-based inks. Make your own primer for PVC plumbing. Clear works, but inspectors require a colorant with 'purple primer' being common. This says CPVC primer should not be used on PVC [2]
• Thus, make your own 'pvc primer' from acetone and colorant, and in a bind, juice some grass and use green pigment fro PVC joints.
